Rev. Roger Roth

“Building people and families according to the word of god.“

Pastor Roth was raised in Miami, FL and served in the United States Navy as a Gunner during the Viet Nam Era. He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a Shipfitter and Nuclear/Radiological and trades instructor there for many years and most recently as a Funeral Director and Mortician at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.

Pastor and Mrs. Roth have been together for over 30 years and currently have five children and seven grandchildren. They have been in Gig Harbor since 1993. In over 30 years of ministry he has served in many capacities: Head Usher, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Pastor and even Police Chaplain (currently serving with Gig Harbor PD). He has also served his fellowship as a sectional youth leader, Home Missions secretary, and Men’s Ministry director for WA State and the Northwest Region.

His philosophy in pastoring goes along the lines of the poem called the pastor’s study,” The pastor’s study is a symbol of the calling of the Christian minister to be the shepherd of a flock of God. Sermons are prepared to feed the congregation on God’s Holy Word. The work of the church is planned so that the congregation may grow in grace and bear fruit in fellowship, teaching and witnessing. You will always find a friend and counselor in time of need. He will not be surprised at your sins, nor will he will judge you in them but he always invites you to share with him, the wisdom and love of God, the knowledge of forgiveness of sins, and the saving grace of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

Come experience the Love of God and the fellowship of a ministry that is seeking to build people and families according to the Word of God.
